Safari Childcare Limited is seeking a passionate bilingual Early Childhood Educator to join our team. You will create a nurturing and engaging learning environment, plan and implement age-appropriate lessons, and support children’s overall early childhood development.
Key responsibilities include: Plan and deliver play-based, child-centred learning experiences that nurture curiosity, creativity, and confidence.
Implement the Aistear and Síolta frameworks to support each child’s holistic development across cognitive, emotional, and physical domains.Guide children in developing social, emotional, and self-care skills through positive modelling and daily routines.
Observe, assess, and document each child’s progress to inform individualized learning goals and curriculum planning.
Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment that promotes diversity and wellbeing.
Collaborate closely with parents and colleagues to ensure consistent support for children’s learning and emotional needs.
Ensure full compliance with Tusla regulations, health, safety, and hygiene standards, including emergency procedures and First Aid readiness.
Participate in ongoing professional development and reflective practice to uphold high standards of early childhood education.
Qualifications and Experience
QQI Level 6 or higher qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education, Montessori Education, or a related field (international equivalent acceptable).Minimum of 2 years’ professional experience working in an early years, preschool, or Montessori environment.
Proven ability to plan and implement play-based, child-led learning activities in line with Aistear and Síolta frameworks.
Strong understanding of child development and ability to support children with additional or special educational needs (SEN).
Good knowledge of child safeguarding, health and safety, and Tusla compliance standards.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills, with the ability to maintain documentation and child progress reports.
Child Protection and First Aid certification desirable.
Knowledge of a second language (e.g. Mandarin, Polish, Spanish, French) is an advantage but not essential.
Empathetic, caring, and patient nature, with strong attention to children’s individual emotional and developmental needs.
