Shop Assistant

Position type: Temporary, Full-Time, Ending 03/04/2026Hours: 40
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:30
Pay range: €13.50 /hour (salary equivalent €28,080)Breaks: 30 mins paid & 30 mins unpaid
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unpack, and arrange stock efficiently; assist with packing small boxes or bags during quieter periods.
- Organise and label products on display shelves to maintain a tidy and appealing shop layout.
- Support the creation and presentation of seasonal displays to enhance customer experience.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the products to provide informed customer service.
- Operate the till and process card-only transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide a warm, friendly welcome to all visitors, building positive relationships to encourage repeat custom.
- Maintain a safe and clean store environment by regularly tidying and rearranging areas to reduce risks of slips, trips, or falls.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Maths and English Skills
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in a written form internally and externally in polite and professional manner.
- Working with a team
- Good organising and planning skills
Desirable:
- Food safety trained

- Overtime available but not guaranteed: Any hours over 40 hours is time and a half. Saturday is time and a half for the first 4 hours then double time after 4 hours. Sunday is double time.
