Factory Manager - Vision Built

Overview:

Vision Built are seeking an experienced Factory Manager to join the Team in Tubbercurry, Sligo.

Established in 2012 and acquired by Sisk in 2019, Vision Built is an offsite manufacturing business delivering 3D Category 1 volumetric modular and 2D Category 2 panelised solutions to Ireland and the UK, delivering across multiple sectors including residential, education, health, commercial and technology.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire manufacturing process for modular construction units from material intake to final assembly and shipment.
• Manage and lead production staff, supervisors, and quality control teams.
• Coordinate production schedules, ensuring alignment with project timelines and client deadlines.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Develop and manage production KPIs and performance metrics.
• Report on and react to production delays.
• Maintain inventory and supply chain flow to avoid delays in production.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to production, labour, materials, and machinery.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, logistics, and project management teams.
• Lead hiring, training, and development of factory personnel.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all manufacturing processes.
• Manage and report on module storage and logistics.

Experience:

• Proven track record of managing production operations, teams, and projects.
• Knowledge of modular construction methods, building codes, and industry standards.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing systems (e.g., ERP software) and lean manufacturing techniques.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-changing, deadline-driven environment.
• Experience with automation and modern construction technologies.
• OSHA certification or familiarity with workplace safety standards.
• Working knowledge of blueprint reading and construction documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a factory or manufacturing leadership role, preferably in modular or prefabricated construction.
