IT Infrastructure & Systems Specialist

My client is looking for an IT Infrastructure & Systems Specialist with 3 - 5 years of experience to join their organisation in Tipperary. This is a permanent role.

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Proven background in IT infrastructure and network support within regulated environments such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of networking principles including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, and secure network segmentation.
• Experience managing Windows Server environments, virtualization platforms, and enterprise storage solutions (SAN/NAS).
• Solid understanding of Active Directory, group policies, identity and access management, and security best practices.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based service management frameworks and tools such as ServiceNow, alongside knowledge of GxP and data integrity standards.

• Provide day-to-day support and maintenance of site IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and network systems supporting laboratory and manufacturing operations.
• Monitor and resolve infrastructure and network incidents, ensuring all requests are logged, tracked, and managed in line with service management processes.
• Maintain and support network environments (core, distribution, edge, and wireless), ensuring secure segmentation across business and laboratory systems.
• Manage Active Directory services, file systems, access controls, and collaboration platforms to ensure secure and compliant data usage.
• Support laboratory and quality systems from an infrastructure perspective, ensuring reliable connectivity, system availability, and backup processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, documentation, compliance readiness, and infrastructure upgrades while collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.
