Application Details
Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.
Job Description
Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
Reporting to: Scheme Supervisor or other designated BAP officer. Main Job Functions:
The provision of a home support service to elderly and vulnerable people living within the locality- this service will include jobs such as; small indoor painting and decorating jobs, minor repairs such as changing light bulbs, small indoor jobs, remounting fallen shelves, gardening and light domestic duties
The provision of a range of insulation measures for the client base
Delivery of gardening maintenance works in designated community area in Bray in conjunction with a local residents association.
Community Supports and assistance
Support in the practical implementation of an initiative which seeks to alleviate food poverty in the BAP operational area through the collection and distribution of food stuffs to those who cannot afford or who do not have reasonable access to food which provides a healthy.- Gardening works including planting and maintenance of raised flowerbeds, and clearing hedgerows to facilitate estate tidy up and enhancement
- Small jobs for elderly and vulnerable people including small indoor painting and decorating, changing light bulbs and light domestic duties etc.
- Insulation of homes - Attic insulation and cavity wall insulation
- Working within the community to assist in the implementation of supports
- Assist in the collection and delivery of food stuff for the BAP food poverty initiative
- Maintaining and implementing all health and safety procedures.
- Complete administrative duties, maintaining records as required.
- To work within the ethos of BAP.
- Good customer skills
- Interest in working within the local community

- Clean B/C driving licence preferred.
