Packaging Operative

Reports to: Packaging/Production Supervisor

Job Purpose

To support the production and dispatch teams during peak seasonal demand by ensuring products are accurately, safely, and efficiently packaged to company and customer standards.

• Operate within the packaging line to prepare, assemble, and pack products.
• Ensure all items are labelled, sealed, and palletised according to company requirements.
• Maintain high standards of quality control, checking for damage, defects, or incorrect labelling.
• Follow health & safety procedures, including correct use of PPE and manual handling guidelines.
• Work to daily targets and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy, and free from hazards.
• Assist with stock replenishment and movement of goods when required.
• Report any issues or shortages to the Packaging/Production Supervisor promptly.

Person Specification

Essential:

• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a busy environment.
• Good attention to detail.
• Reliability and flexibility to work varied shifts or overtime during peak periods.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Desirable:

• Previous experience in packaging, warehouse, or production roles.
• Knowledge of basic health & safety practices.

• Type: Temporary, fixed-term until Christmas
• Hours: 40 hours, Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm.
• Pay Rate: €15 an hour.
• Start Date: ASAP.
