We are seeking a detail-oriented proactive Billing Manager to oversee and manage the billing processes within a leading telecommunication organisation. This individual will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate billing, conducting reconciliations, resolving discrepancies, and enhancing billing processes.

The role requires close collaboration with various departments to resolve billing discrepancies, support accounts receivable, and contribute to the overall financial health of the company. The Billing Manager will also play a key role in supporting the development and use of billing systems to efficiently organise, store, and analyse billing data while ensuring accuracy, security, and confidentiality.

Salary: €60,000-€65,000

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accurate and timely generation of invoices, addressing all aspects of billing, including usage, taxes, fees, and other charges as part of the billing close and sign off process.
  • Oversee billing reconciliation processes to ensure that billing discrepancies and inconsistencies are identified and resolved promptly.
  • Work closely with finance to detect and prevent revenue leakage. Ensure compliance with legal or industry regulations, company policies and contractual obligations. Conduct regular audit to validate billing accuracy and prevent fraud.
  • Ensure accurate pricing, rating, invoicing, taxation, revenue recognition, integrations, and compliance for seamless product launch and billing operations.
  • Generate detailed billing reports, providing insights to senior management regarding revenue, trends, and outstanding balances.
  • Work closely with the accounts receivable team, sales, customer service, and IT departments to address billing-related issues, discrepancies, and customer inquiries.
  • Ensure all billing information is handled with the highest standards of confidentiality and security, complying with relevant data protection regulations and organizational policies.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to streamline billing operations, enhance data accuracy, and improve the customer billing experience.
  • Provide training and support to billing staff, ensuring that processes and procedures are understood and followed.
Key Skills/Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in billing management.
  • Strong knowledge of billing systems, financial reporting, and data management principles.
  • Solid understanding of billing cycles, reconciliation, and accounts receivable functions.
  • Experience working with complex billing systems and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • In-depth understanding of data privacy and security practices, with a commitment to ensuring the confidentiality of financial and customer data.
