About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Financial Analyst to join our expanding team. This position plays a key role in supporting strategic investment decisions, delivering high‑quality financial modelling, and partnering with senior stakeholders across the organisation.The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial acumen, analytical capability, and the ability to communicate financial insights with clarity and impact.

Key Responsibilities
As Senior Commercial Financial Analyst, you will:
- Prepare and update financial models for capital investment projects at key milestones, including comprehensive sensitivity analysis.
- Review and challenge investment proposals for new and existing projects or business initiatives to ensure a strong commercial rationale.
- Present analysis results and provide clear insights to support decision‑making at project and senior management level.
- Support the development and maintenance of robust, standardised financial modelling processes.
- Work with business managers on forecasting, validating, and updating financial plans.
- Prepare financial models and presentations and support financial due diligence and agreement reviews for potential acquisition opportunities.
- Identify relevant tax, accounting, and risk considerations, collaborating with subject‑matter experts to ensure high‑quality, reliable financial modelling.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential- A recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or a relevant financial qualification such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
- A minimum of three years’ post‑qualification experience in financial modelling for capital investment projects.
- Strong Excel skills and the ability to build and interpret complex financial models.
- A commercially focused mindset with strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Proven stakeholder management ability, including working with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate key deliverables and drive alignment across stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a demanding workload and balance short‑term priorities with longer‑term objectives.
- Experience working within Irish or UK markets.
- Exposure to evaluating large‑scale or multi‑disciplinary projects.
