My client, a reputable Agribusiness in Cork, is looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join their Finance team in the Cork Headquarters.

The Role:

• Compile and deliver monthly financial reports and management accounts.
• Oversee the month-end closing process, ensuring accurate nominal ledger entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Track cash flow and regularly report on its status to senior management.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process, contributing to long-term financial planning.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to aid in informed decision-making.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of both weekly and monthly payroll.
• Authorize bank payments and handle online banking approvals.
• Manage the fixed asset register and monitor depreciation schedules.
• Assist with year-end financial statement preparation and coordinate the external audit process.
• Oversee Accounts Payable, Receivable, and debt management processes.
• Prepare and upload monthly supplier reports.
• Manage foreign exchange transactions and related reporting.
• Handle intercompany invoicing, expense processing, and reconciliations.
• Lead and manage the Finance team, and support as needed.
• Continuously review and improve financial controls, systems, and processes.

Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant – ACCA, ACA, CPA or CIMA
• 3 Years PQE in a similar role
• Experience preparing statutory returns and managing audits
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both financial and non-financial fellow colleagues
