Business Development Manager

My Client, a trusted cleaning supplies company committed to delivering exceptional products and services to their customers, is seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join their team and contribute to their continued growth and success.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify new business opportunities within designated sectors to drive growth.
  • Manage the sales pipeline, including re-engagement of lost customers, to increase conversion velocity.
  • Engage with prospects and former customers using Virtual Rooms to enhance sales efficiency.
  • Negotiate and close deals to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers where appropriate to boost business growth and profitability.
  • Maximise sales during the first twelve months of new account acquisition, working closely with the Customer Care team.
  • Actively forecast new business opportunities to ensure smooth product supply and service delivery.
  • Stay informed on industry and sector changes to ensure Western Hygiene is positioned to meet evolving customer needs.
  • Follow and contribute to the continuous improvement of the sales process.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and management to optimise sales efforts and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Utilise the WHSL performance management system to stay aligned with company, departmental, and personal objectives.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in a similar Business Development or Sales role.
  • Strong understanding of customer acquisition frameworks and stakeholder selling.
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively perform the sales function remotely from a home-based environment.
  • Creative thinker with a strong customer-centric approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a matrix environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
