Overview:

The Junior Electrical Engineer supports the development, and implementation of electrical systems and components in a range of projects. This role involves working under the guidance of senior engineers to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.

Junior Electrical Engineer Reporting to the , the Senior Building Services Engineer / Co-Ordinator has responsibility for the delivery of Building Services Systems on their projects that are On Time, On Budget and meet the companies Zero objectives of Safety, Quality and Energy.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in electrical systems and schematics for projects across commercial, industrial, or residential sectors.
  • Support the preparation of technical drawings using CAD software.
  • Conduct electrical calculations (e.g., load, voltage drop, short-circuit).
  • Assist with testing and troubleshooting electrical systems and components.
  • Participate in site visits, inspections, and installations as required.
  • Ensure designs and installations comply with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation such as reports, manuals, and test results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, project managers, and technicians.
  • Stay updated on technological advancements and standards in electrical engineering.

Experience:

  • Experience of of electrical software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar).
  • Experience with national electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Basic understanding of power systems, control systems, and electronics

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
