We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety and Compliance Officer to support our Health & Safety function across European operations. This role is critical in maintaining compliance standards by developing and maintaining Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), managing the RAMS tracker, and supporting Health & Safety Advisors during inspections.
Role Requirements & Responsibilities- Create, review, and update RAMS in line with operational activities and evolving site requirements.
- Maintain the RAMS tracker, ensuring all entries are up to date, accurate, and reflective of current operational risk assessments.
- Collaborate with Health & Safety Advisors across Europe by providing administrative and compliance support before, during, and after H&S inspections.
- Track and follow up on actions arising from inspections to ensure timely resolution and documentation.
- Ensure all RAMS documents are aligned with company standards and relevant legislative requirements.
- Liaise with operational teams to gather input and verify accuracy of safety documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to health, safety, and compliance systems.
- Assist in preparing documentation and reports for internal and external audits.
- Assist with the ATC Health & safety initiatives and procedures to ensure it is effective across multiple sites.
- Other duties as assigned in line with your skills and experience.
- Experience in Health & Safety or compliance roles.
- Strong understanding of RAMS and their role in workplace safety.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills, including document control and tracker management.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and geographies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint); experience with safety management systems is a plus.
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
- Fluency in English.
- Experience with MS SharePoint in a corporate environment
- Relevant 3rd Level EHS qualification desirable but not essential.
- ISO45001:2018 or other quality management approaches
