Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Work safely at all times by identifying risks and implementing appropriate mitigation measures.
- Respond promptly and effectively to equipment failures or issues in a cross-functional environment.
- Record all maintenance interventions, including failure codes, and provide guidance on preventative actions where required.
- Execute planned maintenance activities, including predictive, preventative, and calibration routines.
- Ensure all work orders are completed on time, safely, and in compliance with site procedures, with accurate asset management data recorded.
- Provide clear, concise written and verbal handovers to colleagues.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and identify enhancements to job plans and spare parts for planned maintenance activities.
- Support major equipment overhauls and coordinate external vendors while on site.
- Contribute to the development of training materials and cross-train colleagues as required.
- Assist colleagues and other functions with tasks such as equipment set-up, sampling, and cleaning validation activities.
- Work effectively within cross-functional teams using Operational Excellence or continuous improvement methodologies to optimise processes.
- Maintain audit readiness at all times by adhering to housekeeping standards and completing required training on schedule.
- Minimum of a Level 6 Electrical qualification (or equivalent) with a strong mechanical aptitude.
- At least 2 years' experience in a maintenance or engineering role within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience in regulated industries such as biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, medical device, facilities maintenance, or FMCG manufacturing.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and equipment reliability in all tasks.
- High attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures accurately and adapt to change.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to meet scheduled timelines.
