Overview

An established accountancy practice in Kerry is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to manage bookkeeping and payroll services for a portfolio of clients. This role requires strong technical skills, practice experience, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records across multiple client accounts
  • Process bank reconciliations, invoices, and journals
  • Prepare VAT returns and process payroll
  • Assist with management accounts and year-end preparation
  • Liaise with clients to resolve queries and gather documentation
  • Work with cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)
Requirements
  • 3+ years’ experience in a practice-based bookkeeping role
  • Strong knowledge of Irish VAT, payroll, and bookkeeping standards
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills
