The H & S Officer Role:
As the Health & Safety Officer, you will be the key driver of site safety standards. You’ll oversee risk assessments, support incident investigations, maintain full compliance, and ensure all policies and procedures are kept up to date. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners where needed.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, assess, and mitigate health & safety risks across the site
- Support the delivery of site and group H&S objectives
- Lead/assist incident investigations and develop corrective actions
- Keep all H&S documentation and regulatory requirements fully up to date
- Ensure compliance through audits, inspections and follow-up actions
- Monitor and verify adherence to safety standards and procedures
- Report on H&S metrics, trends and incidents to the wider organisation
- Support the rollout of long-term H&S improvement plans
- Higher Diploma (Level 7/8) or Degree
- Chartered IOSH membership (or equivalent)
