Retail Shop Manager - Forecourt Convenience Outlet (Co. Kildare)

Sky Staffing Solutions is hiring on behalf of our client for the role of Retail Shop Manager at a busy forecourt convenience outlet in Co. Kildare. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced retail professional to lead a high-volume store operation, manage a motivated team, and ensure excellent customer service standards.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in forecourt or fast-paced retail settings, and will be confident managing store operations, compliance, and team development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full day-to-day operations of a forecourt convenience retail outlet
• Ensure consistent delivery of excellent customer service across the store
• Supervise, schedule, and support team members to meet daily operational needs
• Manage inventory, stock rotation, and ensure proper merchandising and presentation
• Monitor and report on sales performance and implement local promotional activities
• Maintain compliance with HACCP, food safety, health & safety, and all relevant operational policies
• Handle cash management, banking, and reconciliation processes
• Train new hires, support ongoing staff development, and ensure performance standards are met
• Ensure cleanliness and efficiency in both the retail and forecourt areas

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a retail management role (forecourt, convenience store, or similar)
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Familiarity with health & safety and HACCP regulations in a retail food setting
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and early morning or evening shifts
• Proficiency in POS and basic reporting systems
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
