Shift Operator - Industrial Plant Operations

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Shift Operators to join our clients production team in a fast-paced industrial environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their career in plant operations, with full training provided to progress into a qualified Control Room Operator role.

You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of plant systems and equipment, while supporting continuous production and maintaining high safety and environmental standards.

• Operate and monitor plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient continuous production.
• Carry out routine inspections, data recording, and minor maintenance activities.
• Identify, report, and troubleshoot equipment faults and abnormal operating conditions.
• Perform chemistry testing of boiler water, cooling water, and scrubber systems.
• Safely handle chemicals and oversee offloading of plant consumables.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Respond effectively to abnormal operating and emergency situations.
• Support maintenance activities, plant shutdowns, cleaning operations, and plant start-ups.
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly working areas.
• Assist in developing and improving operational procedures.
• Support and train colleagues as required.
• Participate in structured training to become a Control Room Operator.

• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Organised, proactive, and capable of multitasking.
• Previous experience in an industrial, manufacturing, utilities, or process environment is an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided.
