Senior Buyer
My client, a leading Building Contractor Company is in need of a Senior Buyer to join their Procurement team based in their head office in Galway.
This is a fantastic position for a Senior Buyer to join an Industry Leading Organization which has gone from strength to strength in recent years. There is room for progression in the role and a great opportunity to utilize skills already gained throughout your Procurement experience and expand your skillset.
The Key Responsibilities for the desired Senior Buyer include but are not limited to:
- Placing Purchase Orders with successful suppliers following negotiations.
- Discussing terms and conditions with suppliers.
- Carrying out price comparisons.
- Managing and reporting on actual costs versus budget costs
- Liaising with Site Management Team
- Continual Sourcing of new suppliers
- Reviewing Tender BOQ’s and price with relevant suppliers
The requirements for the desired Senior Buyer include:
- Previous experience in a similar Procurement/Supply Chain role
- Previous experience in Procurement in a Construction Company desired
- Self-motivated, with an ability to work as part of the purchasing team
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Strong IT skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel)
- Strong time management, organisation and planning ability
- A proven track record of delivering results against KPI’s
- Strong customer focus and a commitment to providing a quality service
