Calor Gas supply and distribute LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) and renewable BioLPG to homes and businesses off the natural gas grid.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Bulk Sales Team. Working as part of the Commercial team, this challenging position requires an energetic and driven individual with well-developed interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for seeking out and winning new business in addition to managing the existing customer base in the region.

The ideal candidate will be extremely customer focused and have a knowledge of different business sectors within the geographical area.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop new LPG & BioLPG business across sectors and markets through effective lead generation and territory management.
  • Manage existing customer relationships as a connection between the company and the customer, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and business retention across the territory.
  • The implementation of a robust and dynamic Strategic Area Plan (SAP) to develop new ideas that will help deliver on the targeted performance as set out in set KPIs.
  • Apply a consultative selling approach, building relationships to identify the customer's needs.
  • Complete site visits, develop customer proposals and installation solutions with clear costings and evaluations for prospective customers.
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations and meetings.
  • Build a strong network of specifiers including industry partners, installers, architects and builders to leverage business growth and retention.
  • Represent Calor in a professional manner, networking at industry events to promote the Calor brand and products.
  • Utilize relevant IT systems (CRM, ERP) for reporting and analysis as required by the role.
  • Attend and actively participate in team meetings.
  • Build collaborative relationships with internal colleagues to provide a customer centric approach.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the business and its current and prospective products and services.
  • Market awareness, keep up to date with evolving energy trends and market dynamics.
  • Contribute to the Calor safety culture by always acting in a safe and responsible manner.
  • This role will have elements of flexible working; evening and weekend hours may be required.
  • Any other duties as deemed reasonable by the company.

Requirements

The person:

  • Ideally minimum of five years in sales, consultative sales, technical sales, or customer facing role.
  • Professional with a positive attitude and growth mindset.
  • Proven successful experience in a target driven sales environment.
  • Proactive, target focused with a resilient, positive and determined attitude.
  • Adaptable, self-driven and team orientated.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills is a prerequisite.
  • Strong time and territory management skills.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Preferably reside in the sales territory.
  • Experience within the energy industry, heating industry or focus sectors would be an advantage.
  • Territory may be subject to review based on business requirements.

Benefits

Annual Leave: annual leave entitlement starts at 22 days and increases with service level.

Additional Days Off: Calor provide two additional paid days off, that is 27th December and Good Friday.

Pension: Upon commencement of your employment with Calor you will automatically participate in the Company Defined Contribution Pension Scheme. Matching Company contribution of up to 5%.

Private Health Insurance: Calor will make contributions of €568 towards your health insurance through the company’s VHI Group Scheme.

Life Assurance: Available to permanent employees in the event of death in service.

Income Protection: If absent from work on a long-term basis over 6 months due disability or illness, 2/3’s of salary less the state illness benefit will be protected subject to terms and conditions.
