About the role:
The Cost Business Process Center Team Leader will manage the Cost Business Process Center (CBPC) team, which currently has team members in Dublin and one employee in Shanghai.
The CBPC team supports cost center management (including TCCM application management support), the budgeting process, the product costing estimate process, intercompany services billings, manufacturing orders and variances, and various other cost accounting and fixed assets-related system support & job monitoring.
Responsibilities:
People leadership & team performance: Lead the CBPC team members; support, train, mentor, and monitor performance to ensure quality output.
Business Support: Run CBPC monthly job processes as regional SME support provider, including jobs related to production processing & variances, order settlements, product costing, service billing, etc. Perform month end closing activities and journal postings related to period close.Lead annual budget process timing within CBPC organization. Have a general understanding of global Cost Accounting processes & procedures to represent CBPC team in meetings and projects.
Continuous improvement & cross-functional partnership: Work collaboratively with Cost Accounting Managers to provide reports and data to meet business needs. Manage CBPC job process improvements to ensure accurate and efficient data processing.Collaborate with Cost Accounting GPO on process change impacts and testing needs, serving as backup to the GPO role. Liase with functions to drive process improvements and financial reporting improvements.
Governance, controls & policy advisory (SOX/internal control): Ensure SOX requirements are met for CBPC team processes and perform role as Approver on control processes where applicable. Educate partners on accounting policies and internal controls and advise on business impacts.
Special projects (ad hoc): Participate in and/or lead special, high-impact projects as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum Education Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting (or local equivalent).
- 6+ years of relevant experience in a (multinational) manufacturing company
- 1+ years people management experience, preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Experience with SAP environments, ECC and S/4 HANA, including Material Ledger,
- Excellent interpersonal skills to engage various levels of management.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate leadership skills capable of inspiring and influencing others.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel.
