Job Title: Chef de Partie – Italian Restaurant, Scalini Ristorante Italiano, 34 Street, Kieran’s Street, Gardens, Kilkenny, R95 C448, Ireland.
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team in a vibrant Italian restaurant. You will be responsible for running a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of preparation, cooking, and presentation of classic and contemporary Italian dishes.Working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef, you’ll play a key role in maintaining consistency, quality, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standard within your assigned section (e.g. pasta, grill, antipasti, or pastry).
- Maintain mise en place, portion control, and hygiene standards at all times.
- Collaborate with the team to develop new dishes and seasonal menus.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory.
- Uphold food safety and HACCP guidelines consistently.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an Italian or Mediterranean kitchen.
- Passion for Italian cuisine and fresh, seasonal ingredients.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure as part of a team.
