Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an entry-level Technician to support the testing, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of electronic units (LRUs) using approved procedures, tools, and test equipment. The successful candidate will accurately document all work within the company control system while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen interest in electronics, engineering, or mechanical assembly who is looking to build a long-term technical career. Full training will be provided, enabling you to develop hands-on skills in testing, fault diagnosis, calibration, and repair within a supportive and professional environment.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES.- Perform basic repairs on electronic units, including component replacement and restoration of functionality, under the guidance of experienced technicians.
- Assist with the setup, testing, and calibration of electronic units in accordance with approved procedures.
- Conduct basic testing and fault-finding activities to identify straightforward issues, escalating more complex faults as required.
- Accurately record repair activities, parts usage, test results, and discrepancies within the company management system.
- Assemble and install electronic and mechanical components using techniques such as soldering, crimping, fastening, and bonding (full training provided).
- Install repaired assemblies into housings, cabinets, or equipment in line with work instructions and technical documentation.
- Prepare repair cost quotation worksheets using established processes and guidelines.
- Follow maintenance manuals, technical drawings, and repair documentation to support repair and testing activities.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment while adhering to all quality, safety, and compliance requirements.
- Continuously develop technical knowledge and practical skills through on-the-job training and mentoring.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS- High School Diploma or equivalent qualification
- Recognized technical qualification or relevant experience.
- Demonstrable experience in an electronic systems repair environment.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes, tools, and technologies within a highly regulated aerospace environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety, compliance, and continuous professional development.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team environment.
- Basic understanding of electronic circuits and troubleshooting principles.
- Ability to interpret and follow engineering documentation, maintenance manuals, work instructions, and technical procedures.
- Familiarity with common electronic test equipment, including multimeters, power supplies, and oscilloscopes, gained through education, training, or practical experience.
- Ability to work with small electromechanical components and use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Willingness to develop skills in testing, calibration, fault diagnosis, and repair through structured training.
Effectively communicate with shop supervision, Engineering and Quality departments to solve technical repair problems.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS- Ability to travel up to 10-20% of the time to domestic and/or international locations.
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.
- Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment.
- May receive detailed instructions on work.
