Operations and Sustainability Manager
We Make Good seeks an experienced Operations & Sustainability Manager with strong business, financial and organisational skills to drive our social enterprise's growth. You'll be strategic, organised, resourceful, with demonstrable CMT or textile manufacturing experience, balancing commercial activity with social and environmental values while managing budgets and supporting staff from marginalised backgrounds.
We are launching Ireland's first professional textile repair training programme, expanding our national B2B repair service, and scaling fashion CMT manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities :Operations & Compliance: Optimise workshop and training operations including resource planning, supplier management, production systems. Ensure funder compliance, health and safety, social enterprise standards; prepare reports, manage audits.
Business and Financial: Lead financial planning, budgeting, reporting, forecasting. Drive pricing, proposals, financial planning for contracts/projects; monitor KPIs and impact metrics.
HR and Staff: Recruit, onboard, support staff including employees from marginalised backgrounds. Manage HR administration, appraisals, wellbeing coordination.
Programme and Project: Oversee training programmes and projects ensuring targets, timelines, budgets, quality standards are met. Develop efficient systems, contribute to strategy and impact evaluation.
Sustainability and Impact: Lead sustainability strategy, embed environmental and social goals across operations. Track, report, communicate impact metrics aligned with circular economy principles.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with funders, clients, partners, community organisations. Develop income streams and business opportunities aligned with our social and circular mission.
Essential Requirements: 3–5 years operations/business/programme management + 7+ years textile/fashion industry
Experience delivering training programmes and overseeing projects from planning to executionStrong financial management: budgeting, cash flow oversight, financial reporting
Stakeholder engagement, partnerships, business development experienceHR and people management including supporting diverse or marginalised teams
Excellent organisational, problem-solving, project management skills
Strong communication abilities, confident presenting to funders, partners, clients
Work flexibly, manage multiple priorities, remain calm under pressure
Passion for social justice, equality, sustainability
Desirable: Social enterprise models, circular economy principles, mission-driven business strategies knowledge
Garment construction (CMT) and textile production experienceTraining/educational programme implementation experience
Certifications in sustainability, textiles, or project management
Salary: €40,000–€46,000Hours of Work: 39 hours per week
