Early Years Educator – Full-Time and Part-TimeLocation: Urlingford Community Childcare Centre
Reports to: Service Supervisor, Centre Manager, Board of Management
We’re seeking passionate Early Years Educators to join our dynamic team. Applicants must hold a minimum QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Education & Care (Level 6 desirable) and have at least 2 years’ experience in an ECEC or SAC setting. Strong communication skills, knowledge of childcare regulations, and a commitment to quality care are essential.
Key Responsibilities: Support children’s development through engaging, age-appropriate activities
Collaborate with staff to plan and review programmesMaintain a safe, hygienic, and inclusive environment
Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
Monitor and respond to children’s individual needs (e.g. allergies, medical, dietary)
Keep accurate records and contribute to developmental updates
Promote equality, respect, and positive discipline
Ensure toys/equipment are safe and well-maintained
Administer first aid when needed
Attend meetings, training, and comply with all relevant policies and regulations
Maintain strict confidentiality at all times

Candidate Requirements
Essential- Minimum Experienced Required (Years):
- Minimum Qualification:Level 5 (incl Leaving Certificate/ Leaving Certificate Applied/ Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme)
Min QQI level 5 in Childcare, Early Childhood Education and Care
Desirable- Ability Skills:Communications, Creativity, Interpersonal Skills, Personal/Social Care
- Competency Skills:Flexibility, Initiative, Working on own Initiative
- Languages:English B2-Upper intermediate
