Celestica Ireland Limited requires an Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team in Galway. You will be responsible for the set-up, installation, maintenance and support of automated equipment ensuring optimum performance and the achievement of operational goals.

The annual salary is €42,700 and the working week is 42 hours.

Key Responsibilities: Diagnosing mechanical issues and implementing corrective actions to resolve equipment malfunctions promptly.

Performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation, including logs of repairs and services performed.
Collaborating with engineering and production teams to identify and implement equipment upgrades and modifications.
Assisting the mechanical engineer with mechanical design and maintenance tasks.
Installing and performing diagnostic tests on mechanical systems.
Developing and implementing mechanical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns.
Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as performing repairs to maintain efficient operation of systems and equipment.
Sets up equipment, undertakes tests, takes readings, performs calculations and records and interprets data.
Optimising mechanical efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings.
Training co-workers on the safe and efficient use of mechanical machinery and equipment.
Participating in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills and stay updated with industry trends.
Trains and assists other Technicians and Operators.
Attends pass-downs as required and provides status updates.
Provides detailed inputs into failed spare parts management process.
