This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. This programme is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance.Your eligibility for this programme will be verified by the Department as part of the application process.
Job Description
Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.
As part of this experience programme where no experience is required, you will receive mentoring and hands on training , giving you the opportunity to develop and enhance office administration skills and customer services skills in a professional environment.You will work as part of a team and they will be there to offer support when needed. Training will be provided in greeting and welcoming the public, answering the phone and being courteous at all times. Being able to mange phone call, Emails, correspondence with professionalism and courtesy.
Assist with maintenance and organization of the office documentation both physically and digital. Assist with supporting with data entry, reporting and general administration tasks such as manual and electronic filing , photocopying, answering and making telephone calls and dealing with emails and queries.
Assist in drafting letters, memos and documents to the public and to staff. Assist with the processing of incoming and outgoing post. Assist with ordering office supplies. Use of IT, Microsoft work, spreadsheets, databases , publisher emails and internet .Insuring all information is confidential within the office and Assist with implementing policies and procedures for the project.
Role Description
This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection.This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP.
