Working Hours: 7am - 3.30pm (Monday to Friday only)

Role Responsibilities:

Description:

• Overseeing and managing the day to day running of the kitchen
• Must be able to adapt certain meals to cater for different allergies or preferences
• To compile and place food orders daily/weekly while ensuring minimum wastage
• Ensuring the Kitchen/Workstations are kept clean and safe at all times
• Ensuring food is prepared to the highest standards
• Following a weekly menu ensuring that meals are both appetising and nutritious.
• Implementation and reporting on menu changes to ensure the provision of a quality service to children and parents and to participate in the development and design of seasonal menu
• To have good time management skills, to be able to have meals ready at scheduled times.
• To be able to work in both a team environment and also on their own.
• Store and rotate stock
• To co-operate with Environmental Health Officer inspections
• Adherence to Health & Safety and HACCP Guidelines which must be followed at all times
• To report all areas of concern to the Catering Manager/Manager

Required Qualifications:

Requirements:

• Minimum 1-2 years experience
• Passionate and creative, with a keen interest in preparing and producing great food HACCP Certified (Highly desirable)
• FETAC Level 5 or equivalent in Catering/Culinary (Highly desirable)
• Garda Vetting will be processed
