Job Description:

This role with a medical organisation based in Dublin North have an opportunity for an experienced Head of HR. This role will have responsibility for leading and developing the HR function and will report to the CEO and be part of the Senior Leadership team.

Hybrid policy - 4 days onsite, 1 day from home.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the Human Resource function
  • Support the CEO, Senior Management and Heads of Department through the development and implementation of best practices in Human Resources Management.
  • Review, update, and maintain Human Resources policies and procedures to reflect the organisations needs, ensuring alignment with legislation and policy.
  • Review and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the efficient and effective administration of the HR function.
  • Review and implement best practices on Recruitment and Selection to meet the immediate and future staffing requirements
  • Oversee the ongoing implementation of the Performance Management process and ensure all external reporting requirements are carried out.
  • Manage Employee/Industrial Relations including union negotiations/staff consultations from local to WRC level.
  • Ensure mandatory and non-mandatory training requirements and records are maintained, and that appropriate training is provided.

Requirements:

  • Be educated to at least Degree level (Human Resource Management or related discipline).
  • Have a minimum of five years' experience at senior level in a HR department.
  • Experience in Healthcare or medical field is an advantage.
  • Strong ER experience would be beneficial.
  • Have strong leadership skills with significant experience leading large teams.
  • Be able to successfully manage a range of different projects and work activities concurrently and assign work to others as appropriate to meet strict deadlines.
  • Be able to build and maintain relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders and to achieve results through collaborative work.
