We are currently recruiting a Construction Quality Manager for a large-scale project in Cork. The Construction Quality Manager will be responsible for managing the quality of construction of a major €240m capital project.- - As part of the role regular updates will be given to the Engineering Project Manager, with regular report updates to the Site Leadership Team as part of CAPEX update meetings and specific project review meetings
- Control the adherence to specification by vendors and contractors.
- The role will also require input into day to day project business improvements.
- The individual will bring their experience to resolve issues as they arise on site.
- Oversee and manage delivery by EPCMV contractor, contractors and vendors of
- New Production Building.
- New Drumstore Building.
- New CUB Building.
- New Tank farm extension, Solvent Recovery Units and Tanker Unloading.
- New WWTP Extension.
- New Site Infrastructure, FW tank and pumphouse, car park and piperack.
- Enabling and site set-up, construction contractors compound Works.
- Ensure EPCMV quality team adherence to Quality assurance and Quality Control plans.
- Conduct regular QC audits of field activities.
- Review ITPs for vendors and contractors and ensure correct execution.
- Ensure construction quality is a focal point of contractor mobilisation.
- Ensure delivery of construction activities to support CQV.
- Review contractor bids wrt quality – systems and personnel review.
- Ensure that all appropriate personnel are fully trained on any new technology introduced as part of project.
- Ensure the vendor and contractor handovers are reviewed.
- Liaise with any validation activities involved in completing the above project, in conjunction with the CQV team.
- Ensure compliance with GMP and safety rules.
- Act as SME or focal point for quality-related RFIs or Non Conformances and procure anynecessary expertise to resolve quality-related issues.
- Attendance at system walkdowns where required.
- - Level 8 qualification (Civil/Structural or Mechanical Engineering preferred). Level or 6 or 7 mechanical engineering with current weld inspection qualifications.
- Extensive experience (min 15 years) in Capital project execution. Delivering construction handover
- of major projects >150MM. Delivering quality programmes for major projects >150MM.
- Extensive knowledge of Pharmaceutical Industries Design, Construction and Validation.
- Experience working in large teams.
- Experience managing construction teams and managing EPCMV contractors beneficial.
- Developing and managing the execution of construction quality plans.
- Detailed knowledge of engineering codes.
- Development and execution of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
- Managing of workstreams to construct and hand over project systems.
- Communication of project progress to internal and external stakeholders.
