Our client are a leading business within the waste management industry and we are working alongside them to hire an experienced Yard Manager to take the reins of their busy waste processing facility in Dublin 22. This is a pivotal role in a growing company, offering real career progression as they expand their infrastructure and operations.
As Logistics, you’ll be at the heart of the day-to-day activities—managing staff, maintaining compliance, and ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials through the facility. You’ll have the autonomy to make impactful decisions while playing a key part in the company’s long-term success.

Salary & Benefits:
€55,000Hours: Monday to Friday (45 hours weekly)

Responsibilities: Staff & Team Management
Lead and coordinate picking line operatives, machine drivers, and weighbridge staffManage staff rosters, provide training and mentorship, and drive performance
Oversee day and night weighbridge operations
Plant & Facility Efficiency
Work with the maintenance team to keep plant operations running at peak performanceLiaise with plant suppliers regarding SLAs, maintenance, and upgrades
Improve throughput and reduce energy and operational costs
Compliance & Licensing
Ensure timely, compliant movement of waste materialsMaintain adherence to EPA licence and waste storage regulations
Keep accurate records of skips, material quality, odour/dust control, and more
Coordinate with EHS on inspections and neighbour relations
General Yard Operations
Maintain high standards across staff facilities and the site overallMonitor and manage stock of bins, skips, and Roll-ons
Implement traffic management plans in partnership with Transport and EHS teams
Key Requirements:
Experience in waste management, yard/depot/facility operations, or similar industrial environmentsStrong leadership skills and a track record of managing teams
Knowledge of plant machinery and materials handling
Understanding of regulatory compliance (EPA, H&S, etc.)
Heavy machinery experience is a plus
Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities
