This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. This programme is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance.Your eligibility for this programme will be verified by the Department as part of the application process.
Job Description
Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.
The eligible participant will receive full training in all aspects of the placement. There will be a mentor there to guide and coach the participant.
Over the 6 months you will assist and learn in the following:
Assisting in the reception duties and administrationMentored in room reservations and event set up
Basic facility maintenance duties
Trained in social media advertising of events and activities in the training centre.
Trained in ordering and stock take of cleaning supplies
Learn to manage deliveries to the training centre
Supporting the day-to-day running of the Association
Role Description
This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection.This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP.
Formal/ 20 hours Accredited Training:Utilise CMETB (Cavan Monaghan Enterprise Training Board) training that takes place in 1 of our training rooms, this will be for basic pc skills, phone skills and potentially excel and bookkeeping training courses.
Informal Training 60 hours:Training will be provided from both the manager of the BDA and the accounts administrator. Both these people have fulfilled the job description or elements of it in the previous years and are best positioned to provide the training and mentoring in reception duties, events, ordering and stock take and day to day running of the Association.
