We are looking for a Graduate Electrical Project Engineer to work as part of the wider Engineering team.
The succesful candidate will support electrical and automation-related projects across Dawn Meats’ Group. This role offers hands-on exposure to industrial electrical systems, building services, production line upgrades, and site-based engineering projects, while developing strong project engineering fundamentals.
Responsibilities:
As part of the wider Engineering team, the Electrical Graduate Engineer will be involved in:
- Assisting in the design, implementation, commissioning, and handover of electrical and electrical services projects
- Supporting multi-disciplinary engineering projects including production line upgrades, utilities, and building services
- Coordinating electrical elements of projects across multiple production sites for the duration of project lifecycles
- Applying company project management procedures and SOPs to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
- Assisting with the preparation of User Requirement Specifications (URS), tender documentation, and technical evaluations
- Supporting contractor management and site supervision during installation and commissioning phases
- Participating in verification, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems to site teams
- Supporting the development and tracking of project budgets and timelines
- Providing technical electrical support to production, maintenance, and site engineering teams
- Contributing to the Engineering department’s continuous improvement initiatives and energy-efficiency projects
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have:
- A Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronic Engineering
- A strong interest in industrial electrical systems, automation, and project engineering
- An understanding of electrical distribution systems, control panels, motors, drives, and instrumentation (desirable)
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with MS Project is an advantage
- Awareness of AutoCAD or similar electrical design software
- A working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and safe systems of work
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
