The role
  • Reporting directly to the partners, the candidate will be responsible for meeting the compliance requirements of a varied client portfolio
  • Day to day responsibilities will include:
  • Taking full ownership of the process from planning through completion for a wide range of audit assignments
  • Supervising and assisting with the preparation of audit exempt financial statements and periodic management accounts
  • Liaising with your colleagues in our tax and company secretarial departments
  • Acting as the initial point of contact for some clients and developing strong relationships with those clients
  • Supporting the tax team with the accounting aspects of advisory work
  • Involvement in budgeting and identifying value add opportunities
  • Business development – attending proposal meetings
  • The candidate will also have the opportunity to work on ad-hoc advisory projects
  • Preparation of integrated financial projections
  • Financial and systems reviews
  • Assisting clients in dealing with banks – finance applications / periodic reporting / restructuring

The candidate
  • ACA qualified with strong audit and accounting experience who wishes to build a career in practice
  • Enthusiastic and hard-working with excellent communication skills
  • Good commercial acumen
  • Committed to exceeding client expectations
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Knowledge of CCH Accounts, CCH Audit, Sage 50 an advantage
