Business Development Manager required to work with John Gleeson Newsagent Ltd, trading as Gleesons T/A Spar Catherine St, at Gleesons Spar Inver Petrol Station, Dublin Road, Limerick, V94X768, Ireland. The applicant must have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar business development, sales supervision, retail management, or operational management role, with proven experience in sales strategy, team leadership, customer account management, commercial negotiations, and business growth in a fast-paced retail or distribution environment.
The role involves contributing to the development of sales strategies and the setting of sales targets, taking into account the range of goods and services to be sold. Duties include discussing the employer’s and clients’ requirements, carrying out surveys and analysis of customer responses to products, pricing and related matters, compiling and analysing sales figures, preparing proposals for marketing campaigns and promotional activities, and undertaking market research.The Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing and maintaining customer accounts, supporting and training junior sales staff where required, preparing reports and recommendations on sales and marketing strategies for senior management, and keeping up to date with products, market trends and competitors.
