Here at Osborne, we are currently hiring a Temporary Chef on behalf of our client, a charitable organisation located in Newbridge, Kildare.
***This is a TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT that requires an immediate start and will be required for 5-6 weeks***
Package:
Rate of pay: €17 per hourHours: Monday to Friday, 8:30/9am-4-5pm
Duration: 5-6 weeks
Responsibilities:
Prepare of approx. 70-80 healthy meals that meet the needs of all service usersEnsure that food is prepared to a high standard and is produced for distribution in a well presented manner at all times
Ensure the kitchen meets the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, health and safety and fire safety, maintaining appropriate paperwork in this regardEnsure the kitchen operates in line with all HACCP guidelines and standards as well as all Food safety and environmental health regulations maintaining appropriate paperwork in this regard
Participating in established procedures in place in the centre to ensure all monies received from customers of the meals on wheels service are accurately accounted for
Ensure all policies and procedures in place in the centre are implemented and followed in your area of responsibility
Maintain an awareness of best practices in safeguarding children and vulnerable adults
To report to your Designated Liaison Person any concerns you have in regard to safeguarding in the service, following reporting procedures and your responsibilities in this regard
Undertake any training as required by your role or in agreement with your line manager
Any other duties as assigned by the line manager that relate to the role of Cook
Requirements:
6 months’ experience in a similar role is ESSENTIALHACCP Level 2
Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure
Strong communication skills
Work well within a team
