Finance & Operations Manager

Location: Naas, Co. Kildare

Type: Permanent | Full Time

A well-established professional services business based in Naas is currently seeking to appoint a Finance & Operations Manager to join its team.

Working closely with the Managing Director and leadership team, this role will take responsibility for overseeing the financial management of the business while ensuring operations, people management and systems run effectively.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working across finance, operations and leadership within a growing SME environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day finance functions including payroll, bookkeeping and invoicing
  • Monitor budgets, income levels and cashflow to ensure business performance targets are met
  • Coordinate the preparation of annual accounts and liaise with external accountants
  • Establish and manage operational processes to support business efficiency
  • Manage and support the team to achieve agreed business goals
  • Act as a key link between the Managing Director and wider team
  • Coordinate and chair monthly management meetings and periodic business review meetings
  • Manage relationships with third-party suppliers including accountants, vendors and service providers
  • Ensure the business operates in line with relevant regulatory requirements
  • Support the implementation of the company’s business plan and strategic objectives
  • Ensure technology and systems are used effectively to improve efficiency
  • Oversee marketing initiatives aligned with the wider business plan

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of financial expertise and operational leadership experience.
  • Accountant or strong finance professional
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a senior operational, finance or practice management role
  • Must have Irish accounting experience and a strong understanding of Irish financial regulations and compliance requirements
  • Strong understanding of business operations, financial controls and team management
  • Proven leadership and people management skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to work closely with senior leadership
  • Experience within property, professional services or SME environments would be advantageous
