You will work for an organisation that supports the wider education community of Co. Donegal. It promotes partnership in education by providing access to professional development, training and support.
Your new roleAs Accounts Manager, you will liaise with the Director and Treasurer on the payments, recording and reporting of financial matters in relation to the running of the organisation and will have sole responsibility for all financial transactions and bank accounts. Your duties will include:
Check invoices and travel claim forms and all relevant documentation before processingProcess all payments for the organisation
Upload all payments to online banking for authorisation by the Director and Treasurer
Check both bank account balances on a regular basis
File requisition, purchase order forms, invoices and remittances
Record and pay all travel and subsistence for Director, Management Committee members and Staff
Process and issue wages and payslips on a weekly basis and submit to Revenue
Collate returns monthly to Revenue in relation to PAYE/PRSI and PSWT
Prepare and forward P35 returns to Revenue annually.
Input all invoices, credit notes, receipts, cheques and bank transfers
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
Record all lodgements to the organisation's bank account in the cash/cheque lodgement book
Process, record and issue invoices/credit notes to customers
Issue reminders to customers regarding outstanding invoices
Prepare all relevant financial documentation for the monthly meetings
Prepare and submit the organisation's accounts for annual auditing by the auditors
Attend any relevant meetings and/or training on financial issues as requested
What you'll need to succeedStrong Accounting skills and knowledgeExperience in SAGE & Excel
Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks and have excellent organisational skills
Ability to work on your own initiative

You will be offered a competitive salary and will work full-time hours Monday to Friday. This role is a 1-year fixed-term contract.
