Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
The employment of the administrative position is on a part time basis and the intended days will be Monday to Friday. Times to be agreed with Leitrim Coordinator.Youth Work Ireland North Connaught Community Employment Scheme is a project funded by the Department of Social Protection in which employs participants to work within its own services and with other community-based organisations in Sligo Town.
Duties will include:- To deal with queries from the general public in person and by telephone,
- Receptionist duties – telephone queries, taking messages and forwarding to appropriate member of staff,
- Monitoring reception email and responding to queries,
- Taking bookings for meeting rooms, recording in meeting room diary,
- Liaise with users and NCYCS staff re use of centre and invoice users for same,
- Monitoring social media platforms and updating with up-and-coming events/information,
- Partake in maintaining the cleanliness of the reception and common areas,
- Providing support and assist Caretaker and other NCYCS staff with other organisational work when needed,
- To be involved in maintaining filing systems of the Centre, to send away for new information & extract out of date documents,
- Inform NCYCS staff of any maintenance problems or antisocial behaviour occurring,
- Inform NCYCS staff of stationery needs,
- Participate in in- service training, particularly related to Health & Safety, Child Protection and any relevant courses or seminars such as computers/ reception skills,
- Assist youth workers preparing (may include getting supplies in local shops) serving food and clean up afterwards,
- Perform allied and kindred duties as required from time to time,
- Work in partnership with other staff with regard to tasks & also covering absences/holidays etc.
