HGV / Rigid Truck Driver
We are currently looking for a HGV / Rigid Truck Driver on behalf of our client based in Dublin. You will be responsible for the delivery and collection of plant machinery and powered access equipment to customers using a Heavy Goods Vehicle, ensuring operations are carried out safely, professionally, and on time.
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-TimeLocation: Dublin
Salary: €38,000-42,000
Key Responsibilities:
Safely oversee the loading of vehicles/trailers, ensuring proper load distribution and secure fastening.Verify equipment loaded matches customer orders and adheres to vehicle weight limits.
Follow delivery and collection instructions provided through internal systems.
Provide basic product familiarization to customers upon delivery.
Deliver equipment respectfully, safely, and punctually.
Operate vehicles in compliance with road safety laws, tachograph regulations, and driver hour limitations.
Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any faults promptly through the correct channels.
Monitor vehicle condition regularly and complete safety and defect reports when necessary.
Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in employee guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience:
Full valid ROI driving license.Appropriate vehicle category entitlement (Category C/CE).
Valid Driver CPC certification.
Current Digital Tachograph Driver Card.

Proficient in using GPS systems, maps, and planning routes
Able to perform basic functions on computers and handheld devices

Skilled in using Digital Tachograph systems
Effectively manages personal driving hours and working time records
Capable of operating plant machinery (training provided as needed)
Treats others with respect and conducts oneself appropriately in all interactions
Committed to promoting and adhering to health and safety practices
Delivers excellent customer service
Demonstrates patience and composure in high-pressure situations
