Job Description:

Roundhill Farm Limited is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Pig Farm Assistant to join our team at our facility in Kilcormac, Co. Offaly. The successful candidate will support daily pig farm operations, maintaining high standards of animal welfare, hygiene, and production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the daily care, feeding, and monitoring of pigs across all production stages.
• Clean and maintain pens, farrowing houses, and other facilities to ensure strict biosecurity.
• Observe animal health and behaviour, promptly reporting any concerns to the farm manager or veterinary team.
• Support breeding, farrowing, and weaning under supervision.
• Load and unload livestock as required.
• Operate farm machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow all health, safety, and farm protocols.
• Carry out other general farm duties as needed.

Requirements:

• Prior experience with livestock is desirable but not essential — full training will be provided.
• Physically fit and capable of manual work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.
• Good attention to detail and strong commitment to animal welfare.
• Basic English language skills for day-to-day tasks and record-keeping.

Terms and Conditions:

• Salary: Minimum gross annual salary of €34,000
• Hours: Full-time, 39 hours per week; flexibility required due to farm demands.
• Contract: Permanent, full-time position, subject to successful employment permit approval if applicable.
