Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Retail vacancy with Enable Ireland, the role will cover both shop locations, North Main Street and Parnell Place, Cork on a needs basis.
The participant will gain practical experience in will gain experience in Shop Merchandising, Shop floor duties, Window Dressing, Stock Room duties including sorting, pricing and preparing stock for the shop floor, Customer Service, using a Cash Register, IT including Microsoft Office and updating the shops daily Cash sheets. Day to day training and mentoring will include:- Making our customers feel welcome in our shop
- Advising and helping people as they shop
- Help with the shop merchandising and display
- Organising stock in the backroom
- Answering customer enquiries.
This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP. The participant will receive formal/informal training and mentoring in the following:
- Introduction to the company policies and procedures
- Health and Safety procedures
- Till Operations
- Customer Service
- Sales Techniques
- Shop Displays
- Stock Taking/Stock Control
- Stock Room tasks i.e. Sorting, Tagging, Steaming, Ragging, Stock & Restock, Recycling
