Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.
To register your interest you can contact an Employment Personal Advisor (EPA) in your local Intreo Centre.
Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.

Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
YMCA Dublin has been working with young people in Dublin’s Inner City for 170 years. We run programmes in youth work, education, family support, community childcare and community employment. To support our services, we run two social enterprises – Dublin YMCA Gym and YMCA Childcare in Aungier Street.
Our Childcare facility hosts up to 150 children. Our kitchen provides meals and snacks daily. This includes our Beehyve creche, Kidsworld pre-school and Afterschools.
Hours include 1.30 - 5.30pm Monday - Thursday & Friday 1.30 - 5pmLocation - YMCA Childcare, Aungier St, Dublin 2
Key Responsibilities: To work in the kitchen to provide a variety of healthy meals.
To work alongside the catering staff and under the catering manager.To plan menus in conjunction with the Childcare department.
To prepare, cook and serve meals for children.
To help prepare snacks and lunchtime meals for staff.
To prepare food for executive committee meetings.
Shop for groceries.
Place telephone orders where necessary.
Stock take.
Washing and cleaning of floors, skirting, counter tops and all kitchen surfaces and cupboards to maintain hygiene and cleanliness.
Take part in training as and when required
Key Skills: Desire to work in the catering industry
Ability to work with a teamAbility to work on your own initiative.
Good time management skills
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the group work process and will also be able to work with individuals in setting personal goals/developing a personal learning profile.- HACCP is not a requirement as training will be provided.
