Project Engineer Technical Lead

We are seeking a Project Engineer – Technical Lead to support the delivery of capital projects within a GMP-regulated biopharmaceutical facility. This role will provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution from concept through to handover.

  • - Lead technical delivery of capital projects, acting as the primary engineering point of contact
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including process, utilities, EHS, and operations
  • Oversee design reviews, ensuring compliance with GMP, regulatory, and site standards
  • Support development of URS, design specifications, and technical documentation
  • Manage contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders throughout the lifecycle
  • Ensure alignment with project scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives
  • Drive risk management activities including HAZOPs, design risk assessments, and mitigation plans
  • Ensure safe execution of works in line with EHS and site safety procedures
  • Provide technical input into change control, deviations, and CAPA activities
  • - 7–10+ years’ experience in project engineering within pharma, biotech, or regulated manufacturing
  • Proven track record delivering capital projects in GMP environments
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Good knowledge of Process equipment and clean utilities (WFI, clean steam, HVAC, etc.)
  • Experience with Regulatory requirements (FDA, EMA, GMP)
  • Experience working on live operational sites and brownfield upgrades
