Commis Chef - Limerick

• Minimum 2 years experience.
• Annual salary of €34000 with Permanent contract
• 38 working hours per week
• Job Summary:

You will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our busy kitchen. You will manage all kitchen staffs and deal with food suppliers directly. You will lead kitchen staffs to prepare menus, ensure adequate supplies meeting health and safety standards. New menus need to be created from time to time for customers satisfactions. Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Organise/ manage all kitchen staffs including time-sheet, new staff training etc.
• Liaising with food suppliers including weekly order, price negotiation, and suppliers’ selection by market research.
• Estimating costs and ensuring all purchases come within budget.
• Stock control and report to owner
• Maintaining/ raising the food’s profit margins for the business.
• Creating new dishes and menus.
• Implementation of health and safety procedures in the kitchen.
• Abide by and enforce health codes and cleanliness standards in the kitchen and food storage areas
• Interviewing and hiring new staff.
• Train and supervise junior chefs, including in best practices, safety, and cleanliness standards
