Junior Financial Accountant

Overview:
The Junior Financial Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager for HIHL and will support the team on various company projects. This role will be broad in scope, covering Financial Accounting, but with exposure to the wider business and all functions across the group.
You will be directly responsible for the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of all financial information relating to several Humanscale entities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive the financial performance and continuous improvement of the business.
Coupled to this you will help support all activities and demands on the wider finance function to ensure maximum control and governance is in place to help mitigate against any risk to the business.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting of accurate and timely daily, weekly and monthly reports.
- Ownership for the timely and accurate completion of Month End Reporting.
- Providing insights to support the performance of our month end P&L and making recommendations to improve sales or margins.
- Leadership and focus on cost reduction opportunities.
- Balance sheet integrity supported by clear monthly reconciliations.
- Assist with the audit engagement with the statutory auditors across the regions with timely completion of the annual audit engagement and corporation tax requirements.
- Reconciliation of management accounts to statutory / financial accounts.
- Assist with the preparation of the company’s annual budget process.
- Continued assessment and identification of any risk areas within the financial control department and suggest appropriate controls to mitigate same.
- Support the wider finance team on general ledger queries and compliance to taxation and reporting regulations.
- Perform customs and compliance documentation review
- Ad hoc projects, reporting and analysis as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA)
- Energetic team player with “can do” attitude.
- Excellent understanding of accountancy rules and requirements.
- Attention to detail a must.
- Strong planning and organizational skills a must in order to handle to wide scope and requirements of this role.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong ERP and MS Office experience essential.
- Maintain and update your knowledge of regulations that affect the business and financial reporting.
- Commercial mindset, problem solving ability and able to work on their own initiative.
- Infor experience would be an advantage.
