Bolton Abbey, Moone, Co. Kildare are seeking a Dairy Farm Assistant on a permanent basis for the dairy farm of 200 cattle.

Applicants must have permission to live and work in Ireland, be located within reasonable commuting distance to Moone, South Kildare, ideally have some prior experience in dairy farming and agriculture regulatory in Ireland. Applicant is required to have a good working knowledge of written and spoken English.

The position involves general farm & Yard work to include: Milking of cattle

Calf rearing
Milking parlour cleaning
Animal husbandry
Tractor Work
Grass land management
General yard cleaning & maintenance
Assisting with AI
Noting any concerns about the herd health and informing farm manager of same (e.g. mastitis)

Other duties as directed by the farm manager

The position will require weekend work (every other weekend off), and is generally an average of 40 hours per week.
