SILA Linguists® is seeking a skilled and reliable Kurdish Interpreter and Translator to join our roster on a freelance basis. You will provide both in-person and remote interpreting, and translate written materials between Kurdish and English, ensuring accuracy and cultural appropriateness.

• Provide accurate, fluent interpretation between Kurdish and English, both face-to-face and via remote platforms.
• Translate written documents between English and Kurdish with precision and sensitivity to cultural nuance.
• Uphold strict professional standards and maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Liaise with clients to assess their language needs and deliver tailored solutions.
• Ensure smooth, effective communication for all parties involved.
• Keep up to date with relevant terminology, language trends and industry best practice.

• Minimum of one year’s experience in interpreting or translation.
• Excellent spoken and written English and Kurdish.
• Availability for both face-to-face and remote assignments.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a client-centred approach.
• Able to work independently and manage time effectively.
• A reliable internet connection for remote work.
• A recognised qualification in interpreting or translation is desirable but not essential.
