Temp Social Care Worker – Kilkenny/ Carlow – Mainstream Sector - €40k - €58k DOE

In your new role you will:

• Participate in the development and implementation of Care Plans and to ensure appropriate recording of same.
• Assist in enabling parents/guardians/carers/families to sustain the safe care of their children in the home setting.
• Promote the participation of children and young people in decision making on issues that affect their lives at both individual and collective levels.
• Make written and verbal reports to the designated Manager on a regular basis on the progress of development of the children and their families.
• Work as part of a team working with other professionals and external stakeholders.
• Maintain standards of practice and levels of professional knowledge by participating in continuous professional development initiatives and attendance at courses as appropriate.

To be a successful candidate you will have:

• A Level 8 in Social Care or related field and registered with CORU.
• Experience working with young people in a social care setting.
• A full clean driver’s licence.
