HEAVY DUTY MECHANIC SUPERVISOR (HGV) - ATHLONE, CO. WESTMEATH
The duties will include the overhaul of transmissions, axles and driveline products, the service and repair of HGV’s and PSV’s both in the workshop and off site and supervising staff.
Duties and Responsibilities- Overhaul of transmission, axle and driveline products
- Maintain, repair and service of HGV’s and PSV’s
- Chassis diagnostics and repair both in house and off-site
- Ability to work to OEM standard guide times
- Ability to work as part of a team maintaining good communication between colleagues and customers
- To adhere to correct working procedures
- To complete all job related paperwork in line with company procedures
- To participate in training and development programmes as required by the company
- To undertake any other duties or activities as required
- Must have completed recognised Mechanical Engineer qualification/apprenticeship and present certification for review
- Computer literate
- Experience in electrics and computer based diagnostics work is very preferential
- Full clean driving licence
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work without supervision, using your own initiative or within a team
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently under challenging time constraints
- Reliable
- Ability to travel to sites
- Previous experience
- HGV/PSV licence an advantage
Salary: 60k to 65k per year
