Job Summary
The Chef de Partie is responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen and ensuring the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes. This role requires strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Take full responsibility for a designated kitchen section (e.g. sauce, grill, pastry, larder).
Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standards.
Ensure consistency, portion control, and quality of food at all times.
Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in menu planning and development.
Supervise and support Commis Chefs and Kitchen Assistants.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, health & safety, and HACCP compliance.
Monitor stock levels, minimize waste, and assist with ordering.
Ensure all equipment and work areas are kept clean and well maintained.
Follow company policies, food safety regulations, and kitchen procedures.
Skills & Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Commis Chef.
Formal culinary qualification preferred.
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
Ability to work under pressure and meet service deadlines.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and allergen control.
Desirable Qualities
